Review - An Unwanted Hunger by Ciana Stone

I really enjoyed this short ebook by Ciana Stone. Resa a Vampyre huntress who has been raised and trained by the Alliance to hunt and destroy the Vampyres is half human - half Vampyre herself. But she has been taught to suppress her Vampyre side by her guardian and mentor Bram. Bram makes only one appearance ina fight scene, but I get the feeling there is more to him and he is not just human. Resa is slowly realizing (with the help of others) that the Alliance is corrupt and killing for no other reason than genocide. She is supposed to kill Constantine - the Vampyre Prince, but an undeniable attraction beyond anything that she has ever experienced prevents her from completing her mission.

Constantine is the crown prince to V'Kar and Pure blood of the D'Haran. He was exiled from his world along with his enemies Leonidas and Octavian and their people to Earth. Resa would not be accepted by his people, but he will not let that stand in his way. He has never felt as much emotional turmoil as he has felt since being with Resa. He will have her and keep her forever.

There is so much more to read, so get your FREE ebook at

There just has to be a book #2 or I am going to be very upset lol. There was so much more to the story to be told. An Unwanted Hunger literally gave me chills. There was so much passion in this book and I liked it a lot ***/ 3.5 stars

REVIEW - The Sin Eaters Promise by Michele Hauf

So I am back with my review earlier than expected ;) This was a short ebook story that was enjoyable to read. A Sin Eater and a Soul Bringer are a match made in Heaven/Hell? Nova, finally finds someone who she  can care about and the same is true for Blackthorn. An immortal who has not loved or felt anything in centuries. Finally someone has made his heart beat and how ironic that it would be his supposed enemy.  Read The Sin Eaters Promise to find out how the story plays out.

I enjoyed this story and will give it *** stars.

For a limited time, this ebook is available on for free, so go ahead and download this today.

Interview with Kiss Me Crazy Author Ednah Walters

I am honored and super excited to have Ednah Walters stop by my blog. Ednah writes both contemporary romance as E.B. Walters( and YA fantasy ( about fallen angels. Her Fitzgerald family series has garnered rave reviews, and today, we're talking about her latest romance, Kiss Me Crazy.

LOVED IT!! Kiss Me Crazy is soooo good. I had to ignore the hubs and the kids for a little bit (sorry), but I just couldn't put this down. I just loved Baron Fitzgerald and Kara together. There were so many obstacles and of course drama, but you can't prevent what's meant to be, no matter how much time passes.
Baron Fitzgerald is Kara's very HOT boss and there are rules about that kind of thing, but rules are meant to be broken. I don't want to give too much away and ruin it for you, so go and get your copy. This is a must read. Great story and I didn't want it to end :( I'm hoping that there will be more books to come in this series. The Fitzgerald's are a very large family and we've had sneak peaks of other family members. I can definitely see Lex Fitzgerald (Baron's older brother), getting his own story as well as Chase, Baron's TWIN :D brother.....Did I mention Baron has a TWIN??? Maybe he's available?? Hmm can't wait to find out. I hope Ednah has something in the works!!   ***** 5 stars

INTERVIEW: Ednah: Thank you for inviting me to your blog and for a chance to talk about my work.

Haydee: Your latest release, "Kiss Me Crazy" was so exciting. Are you planning on continuing the series and are you currently writing book #4?

Ednah: I want to write all the other single Fitzgeralds’ stories-Lex, Chase, Eddie. Yes, I’m working on book 4, Perfect Fit.

Haydee: Which Fitzgerald can we expect to read about in the future?

Ednah: Faith, Jade’s cousin is the main character in my next story. She is a fashion designer with big dreams and men problems. Luckily, she has guardian angels watching over her—a bunch of busybodies/wealthy patrons, who can drive any sane person crazy.

Haydee: Do you have any other books in the works other than this series?

Ednah: Apart from my YA Guardian Legacy series, no. I’m barely managing the two series, lol. I’m not the most organized person, but I have an excuse—a husband, five kids and two kids. They come first.

Haydee: I just loved Barons sexy character. Is he based on anyone you know?

Ednah: Oh, sweet, naughty, sexy Baron. Seriously, I’d like to say I know someone like Baron; unfortunately, I don’t. But if I did, I’d stalk him.

Haydee: Who is your favorite character or couple?

Ednah: I love all my characters, but Jade and Vince from MINE UNTIL DAWN hold a special place in my heart. They were both so damaged and deserved to find love.

Haydee: When writing a series, do you have to go back and re-read the last book to pick up where you left off?

Ednah: By the time I finish writing the book and the many rewrites, I usually have the book memorized. I know everything that happened in Slow Burn (book 1 in the Fitzgerald series), Mine Until Dawn (book 2) and Kiss Me Crazy (book 3). In my YA series, which has the same characters, I remember everything about all the main characters. Occasionally I check the previous books to make sure I get the descriptions of the secondary characters right, things like eye color, but mannerism and personal quirks stay solid in my head.

Haydee: How do you keep track of all of the characters in a series?

Ednah: The first time I wrote them, I had a chat of traits for each character and referred to them as I wrote. Now I know everyone. Seriously.

Haydee: Does your husband read your books and what does he think???

Ednah: Haha, that would be the day. I’m married to a snob, a professor of engineering. Do you think he tells his buddies I write romance and YA books? Heck no. To him, my writing is a hobby. And no, he doesn’t read my books. He’d be amazed if he did. My love scenes are super hot.

Haydee: Is it harder to start a book or finish it?

Ednah: Definitely starting. Usually a writer set the stage for the whole story in the first three chapters. Why? She or he must have the characters’ goals, motives and conflicts clear.

Haydee: How much research do you put into your books?

Ednah: A lot. For Slow Burn, I talked to an artist, so I could understand the process involved in painting a piece. I talked to a local firefighter, researched Hot Shot Firefighters, the protocol when there is a fire, old buildings and speakeasies.
For Mine Until Dawn, I researched Mayan artifacts, authenticating artifacts, neighborhoods in L.A., clubs, diplomats and immunity laws…I could go on forever.
For Kiss Me Crazy, I researched restorations of paintings and running a gallery, tourist attractions in San Diego. Luckily for me, I visit Idaho panhandle every year, so I had the description of the lake, cottage covered.

Thank you Ednah for stopping by and answering all of my questions :)

Divergent by Veronica Roth

I purchased this book because it was recommended by one of my favorite authors Laura Wright. I realized that it is a teen book, but I am on edge right now because I have about 30 pages left to read and I can't wait to find out what happens. This book is so exciting and empowering. I think I was to be Divergent lol. I am almost done reading, but I can tell you that I am recommending this to everyone. ***** 5 stars. The sucky part is that book #2 won't be available until May 2012. How can the authors keep us waiting that long??? Here is the book cover and description of Divergent.
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself. During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her. Debut author Veronica Roth bursts onto the literary scene with the first book in the Divergent series—dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.

A Dark Kiss of Rapture - by Sylvia day

Next, I am reading A Dark Kiss of Rapture. This author was recommended to me and I read that she is a best selling author. I'll post my review and let you know if it's a yay or nay lol.
Of all the Fallen, Raze's hungers are some of the darkest and most insatiable. His brazen seductions cost him his wings, leaving him soulless and immortal, the most dangerous of seducers. He has roamed the earth for eons, hunting the rogues of his kind and protecting the humans who provide him with blood and sex. He is content with his life and the transient pleasures that flow through it... until one night and one woman change everything.

Kimberly McAdams is smart, beautiful, and wealthy. She can have any man she wants, but the moment she sets eyes on the lethally stunning Raze she knows he's the man she needs. As one searingly erotic night burns into something deeper and far more vital than either of them expected, an adversary from Raze's past sees a chance for revenge. Twisted by hatred, she will take from Raze what was taken from her—the precious gift of love.

Lord of the Vampires book #1

I have just finished the first installment of Gena Showalter's Lord of the Vampires. I wish this book was longer, but other than that, I really enjoyed it. I have read many of Gena's books and haven't been disappointed yet. Pick up your copy. Great price for a really good book. ***** 5 stars.

Once upon a time…the Blood Sorcerer vanquished the kingdom of Elden.  To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety and the king filled them with a need for vengeance. Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and time is running out.

Nicolai the Vampire is renowned for his virility, but in a cruel twist of fate “The Dark Seducer” has become a sex slave in the kingdom of Delfina—stripped of his precious timepiece and his memory. All that remains is a primal need for freedom, revenge—and the only woman who can help him.

When the wanton vampire summons Jane Parker, she is helpless to obey.  She's drawn to his dark sexuality and into his magical realm.  But for this human, all is not a fairy tale.  For saving Nicolai could mean losing the only man she's ever craved...

Kiss Me Crazy by Ednah Walters - Review

LOVED IT!! Hey everyone, I finished reading Kiss Me Crazy Last night and it was soooo good. Review - Keeping Kaitlyn by Anya Bast

just finished this book and it was ok. I would give it ** stars. It didn't have a real solid story line and not as much depth or imagination. I would recommend only if u didn't have anything else to read.

Keeping Kaitlyn by Anya Bast

This is next on my reading list. I will have a review and recommendation for you this week.

Review of "Bound in Darkness" by Cynthia Eden

This book was just OK. I only finished because I thought it might get better, since it was recommended by another author. There were some typos which I find very annoying! Anyway, I'm giving this only **Stars.

I am not recommending this book to my friends.

Chase Brothers Series

Four Chase Brothers and all are drop dead gorgeous . They each find the loves of their lives in their home town of Petal, Georgia. Of course getting to the happy endings is never easy and there is a lot of drama getting there. Too bad there are only four brothers - which means only four books. The book Once and Again on my 9/30 post also takes place in Petal and some of the characters from the Chase Brothers Series make an appearance. I know you will really enjoy these stories.

Bound in Darkness

This is what I am reading next. Hope it's a good one. New author on my list Cynthia Eden.
(Do not recommend **2 Stars)

Once and Again - Lauren Dane

Once and again is a great story about a relationship that gets a second chance. Lily Travis goes back to her home town in Petal, Georgia to help her troubled brother. She bumps into her old boyfriend from college and man has he grown up. Now that hey are adults things have a new outlook, but you'll have to read and see if Lily can forgive and take things further.

I really loved this book. Lauren Dane is one of my favorite authors. She writes romance novels that are very HAWT. Check out the Chase Brother Series too!

The Darkest Surrender (Lords of the Underworld book #9)

I have just finished reading the next installment in the Lords of the Underworld Series - The Darkest Surrender and it was amazing. I have read all of the 9 books so far and am excited to read the stories of the remaining warriors. For anyone who has never hear of the author Gena Showalter, I highly recommend her books. She writes adult and young adult paranormal romance books that will draw you into the story as her imagination brings these characters to life. I am unsure how many more books are to come in the series, but there should be at least 4 (Kane, Misery, Paris, and Williams) more stories to be told.
